Sub:  Procedure for drawl and sealing of samples forwarded by Customs -reg.

Reference is made of the detailed Standing Order No- 17/2009 dated 21.04.2009 issued by the Chief Commissioner JNCH,  wherein procedure for drawal, sealing, testing and disposal of samples for both  import and export was given.
2. It has been observed that the procedure given in the S O No 17/2009 is not being followed properly.
3. It is again reiterated that utmost care be taken by all the Docks officers while drawing and sealing samples and the instructions contained in paras 5.4, 5.5 and Annexure 2 of the S.O. No 17/2009 be strictly followed.
4. Any difficulty faced in implementing this standing order be brought to the notice of Additional Commissioner (Docks) NS III.
